I removed the right wing tip to install the APRS tracker. Damage to the nut plates was found and six had to be removed and new plates installed. I then installed the APRS in the wing tip, ran a new power wire in the wing conduit and put a molex connector at the wing tip for the APRS. The black wire that runs around the inside of the tip and stops at the top is called a J Pole antenna. Now everything at the wing tip....the APRS, Nav Light, and Strobe light have connectors. I did the same thing at the wing root. I installed connectors so when the wing is installed, it will require just hooking up the connectors for everything. The roll servo for the autopilot is in the right wing and required a 9 pin D sub connector. Biggest danger was making sure the pins were in the right location.
